Our location is a bit out of Pensacola, located near the beautiful beaches of Perdido Key. Our business is making big waves in our area and we’re a thriving and busy spa. We get to enjoy the spa sounds of the Blue Angels practice every week, minutes to the beach, and we have a steady client base that is very supportive of our team. You will grow a busy schedule quickly by just being an amazing human with a sincere dedication to massage therapy and our guests.

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to help us craft unforgettable journeys of calm and wellness with unforgettable bodywork that gives our guests the results they are looking for. We believe we can offer spa experiences with bodywork that is highly effective for each guest. 

 

Our ideal LMT will provide customized, highly-skilled bodywork, excellent customer service to our clientele. We’re looking for a therapist who is passionate about quality bodywork and professional in their approach to this industry. We are seeking an extraordinary Licensed Massage Therapist, someone who makes those around them feel good and will always put the needs of our guests first.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibilities are to provide professional massages with a variety of techniques such as: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone, Sports, Aromatherapy, and Cupping Massage. 

• Discuss client concerns, medical histories and specific stresses or pains to develop the most effective approach to massage treatment.

• Share your wellness wisdom with guests, suggesting self-care tips.

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging customer service and foster an atmosphere of trust, tranquility, and transformation

• Actively participate in other areas of the Spa Operation such as product knowledge and retail sales

• Maintain detailed SOAP notes for each client, each treatment

• Clean treatment room as per Bodyworks of Perdido Key sanitation and COVID-19 requirements

Candidate Requirements & Preferences:

​

• 2 + years experience performing massage therapy (REQUIRED)

• A valid Florida Massage Therapist license (REQUIRED)

• Ability to perform Deep Tissue (REQUIRED)

• Current liability insurance (REQUIRED)

• Able to work weekend shift Saturday (REQUIRED)

• Criminal Background Check (REQUIRED)

• Positive, pleasant, professional demeanor

• Punctual

• Reliable attendance is a must

• Pays attention to detail

• Maintain detailed SOAP notes of each client

• Provide customized, highly-skilled massage therapy

• Ability to deliver up to 5 quality massages in one day.

• Excellent hygiene and grooming

• Previous customer service experience

• Professionalism, dependability, punctuality, excellent boundaries, emotional maturity

• Ability to start at 4 or more shifts per week

• Can-do attitude and teamwork oriented

• Dependability and professionalism

• Well spoken and able to easily communicate with clients and team

• Excellent communication and listening skills

• Customer service exceeding Bodyworks expectations

• Build relationships with clientele

• Amazing team relationships: Good team attitude & team accountability

• Assisting with in-house laundry

• Ability to easily communicate with co-workers and managers

• Ability to treat all clients with Kindness, Compassion & Empathy and work by company core values at all times

 

Bonus Requirements:

• Knowledge of a variety of modalities such as Cupping, Prenatal, Sports, Hot Stone, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Certification a PLUS

• At least one year of experience working in a spa setting is preferred but not required

PLEASE NOTE: This is a W2 position as an employee, not a contractor or self employed. Most importantly, taxes are cut from your wages and paid on your behalf. You'll receive a W-2 form at the end of the year to use in filing your taxes.
