What Are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds secreted by hemp and the cannabis flowers that may provide relief to an array of symptoms. These work their medicinal magic by imitating compounds our bodies produce naturally, called endocannabiniois, which activate to maintain internal stability and optimal health.
To put a complex system simply, cannabinoids mediate communication between cells, and when there is a deficiency or problem with our endocannabinoid system, unpleasant symptoms and physical complications occur.
There are currently 113 known cannabinoids, but there are almost certainly more waiting to be discovered.
Each cannabinoid may provide braying levels of medical benefits, and research has shown that each cannabinoid works best when they are combined, commonly referred to as the “entourage effect.”
Why CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive compound found abundant in the hemp plant. It was the first cannabinoid discovered in 1940 and has been reported to provide anti-inflammatory properties. CBD may help manage symptoms of:
Anxiety
Depression
Fibromyalgia
Inflammation
Multiple Sclerosis
Nausea
Sleep cycle
Mood
Recovery
Balance
Neurodegenerative disease
Osteoporosis
Pain
Parkinson’s
Seizures
Stress
When CBD is taken as a supplement, it provides an all-natural solution for maintaining the balance in your body by interacting with the receptors at work in your (ECS) Endocannabinoid system.
Is CBD Safe?
The (industrial) hemp plant is a bio-accumulator, absorbing all substances from the soil where it is planted, including pesticides and heavy metals. This is why it is so important for all CBD products to be accompanied by an independent, third-party tested Certificate of Analysis. To ensure safety and quality control, the Certificate of Analysis documents the details of where, when, and how a particular product was scientifically tested.
What Is An ECS?
The human endocannabinoid system (ECS) aids our body in maintaining balance, or homeostasis. Your ECS is comprised of receptors throughout the body that connect with other major systems, such as your nervous and immune systems.
Discovered only in 1992, the ECS assists your body in balancing an array of functions, including but not limited to:
Anxiety
Immunity
Inflammation
Memory
Pain
Reproduction
Sleep
Mood
How Do I Know Which CBD Product Is Right For Me?
If you find yourself:
- Sensitive to THC and other cannabinoids
- Living in a state with strict laws
- Undergoing regular drug testing in the workplace
Then CBD Isolate may be the best option for you.
If you find yourself looking for a full range of cannabinoids to get the most out of the hemp plant:
Then Full Spectrum CBD may be the best option for you.
How Do I Determine The Difference Between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate?
Full Spectrum CBD products are made with a variety of cannabinoids including up to the federally legal limit of 0.3% THC.
Broad Spectrum CBD products contain a wide range of cannabinoids, but do not contain THC.
Isolate CBD products are created through a refinement process which eliminate all cannabinoids and terpenes except for CBD, leaving a pure 99.9% CBD Isolate.
